Shevington Parish Council has secured funding through the Public Works Loan Board (PWLB) to deliver long-planned improvement works at Memorial Park.
These works have been under discussion for a number of years and we are pleased to now be in a position to move forward. Subject to weather conditions, work is expected to begin as ground conditions improve.
The project will focus on addressing long-standing drainage issues which have frequently made the recreational site unusable during wet weather. Improvements will also include the installation of a new perimeter pathway and the enhancement and replacement of trees that have been lost over time as a result of excess water.
Once completed, these works will help ensure Memorial Park is usable throughout the year and remains a well-maintained and accessible space for residents.
Further updates will be shared as the project progresses.
